The Sound of Musical

There's a reason Mel Brooks’ The Producers has been a movie and a musical and a movie musical: “You can't see it all the first time you see it. You can't hear it all,” says Michael Barnard, producing artistic director at Phoenix Theatre. “I must have seen the original movie 10, 15, 20 times, because every time I saw it I would hear a line I had never heard before." Expect Jon Gentry's portrayal of Max Bialystock to push the tuner into an alternate dimension of bravura snarkiness -- with heart, of course.
