Party provocateur and promoter Jen Deveroux admittedly has a certain penchant for branding her nightlife and fashion events with some scandalous titles, as evidenced by such previous events as Spank Factory, Royal Filth, and Ape Shit. “Yeah, that’s sorta been my thing,” she says, laughing. True to form, Deveroux’s latest to-do, the swimsuit runway show G-String, continues this trend by offering a naughty-sounding moniker, as well as an evening of risqué sights.

Punky and lingerie-like swimwear dreamt up by 15 different fashion designers from throughout the Valley will adorn models who will strut down a catwalk on Saturday, June 8, inside the Monarch Theatre, 122 East Washington Street. Many of the couture creators involved with the event, which is being co-promoted by the Alternative Fashion Society, are of a somewhat fetishistic bent (such as Hell on Heels, Noble Savage, Modifiedminds, and Misscontstrued), so expect to see plenty of extra skin. The designs of Kelly Calabrese, Pierced Heart, Thrift Riot, Pazzo Bella, and Haus of Stardust will also be featured.

Local rapper Puma MC and DJ Rick Carter will also perform during the show, which starts at 9 p.m. Admission is $10.
