Tiffany Egbert's cute enough to make you wish there were a miniature version of her to fit inside your pocket.
But this chick doesn't just know how to rock an over-sized hair bow -- she's also one hell of a graphic designer, doodler, blogger, photographer, and business owner of online vintage boutique KittenPawsVintage.com.
Though creative projects tend to fill up most of Tiffany's time these days, she says she generally tries to live life to the fullest -- and of course, look totally adorable while doing so.
What are you wearing right now?
Black and white vintage ZiZi dress with lace peter pan style collar, sheer brown tights, brown lace up boots, brown vintage tailored suit jacket, Diana Warner cocktail ring and a handmade KittenPaws Flower Child headband.
What is the last item of clothing you bought?
A whole lot of vintage dresses from Tiedemanns. Some for me some for my shop. :)
What is the item of clothing you most covet at the moment?
There is a pair of Jeffrey Campbell Lace-Up boots I am currently coveting OR better yet the vintage version of the shoes that they were initially inspired by. That would be even better!
Give us a childhood memory of you and clothes:
I am one of four children in my family and growing up we didn't have a huge budget for clothing so we would often shop at thrift stores. I was completely embarrassed about it until I reached junior high and realized it was the best thing ever because I could be extremely creative with my clothing and there was pretty much no way anyone else would be wearing the same thing.
Name five items every woman should have in her closet:
1. A pair of really flattering and comfortable jeans. I prefer darker denim skinny jean style but everyone has their preference of what they feel good in.
2. A good collection of shoes for every occasion. I especially like to have a good pair of dancing shoes as well as a pair of shoes I could walk for miles in NYC in. I also like to have a large assortment of boots.
3. Lots of pretty dresses
4. Accessories! I particularly like sparkly cocktail rings, vintage necklaces and adornment for my hair. I love headbands, bows, vintage hats, etc..
5. Lots of black. I probably have a black dress for every occasion.
Name an item of clothing that's best when it's vintage:
A pretty vintage dress! So much history, character and attention to detail.
Name an item of clothing you should NEVER buy used:
Something with blood or sweat stains! That's pretty gross. I unknowingly bought a dress once that was a little bit ripped at the seams of the shoulders and on the inside underneath the rips there were (what looked like) blood stains! ICKKK! I totally didn't notice it until it was too late. Now I check everything inside and out!
What is your one piece of fashion advice for Phoenix?
You really don't have to spend a ton of money to be stylish or in fashion. Check out your local thrift stores or resellers you'd be surprised at the treasures you can find! I kind of feel like since thrifting isn't as big here as it is in other larger cities you can find really amazing vintage for really good prices. Take advantage of it!
