Attention Phoenix peddle pushers: State Bicycle's bringing LOOPS to the Phoenix.
The Denver-based effort is a weekly ride that's geared toward getting riders of all ages and levels active on a regular basis. Denver riders are on their 176th week.
Local organizers recognize there are a few solid weekly rides for bikers in Phoenix. And while night rides like Tempe's PISS have already gained quite the following, these routes can be a bit challenging for the inexperienced.
Enter LOOPS.
Arizona LOOPS is open to riders of all ages and organizers are planning to work with with local businesses to get group rates for food and drinks at stops along the ride.
Bicyclists will meet at Tempe Beach Park on September 7 at 8 p.m. and can expect to ride 10 to 20 miles with one to three stops along the way.
