As spring break draws to a close, we've already given you a flowchart to determine how to spend the week, what to wear during it, and a handy guide to taking an incident-free trip to Mexico.

Now for closing out the week of collegiate travails. Whether you've staycationed, recently returned from a trip, or were totally unaware that spring break was underway (there's no shame in adulthood), here are five things to do this weekend.

5. ASU Spring Break Pool Party @ Block 1949
Spring break ASU-style means flocking en masse to bodies of water. In this case, that means an apartment complex pool. Apart from requisite lounging, flip cup, and sunbathing, this bash boasts an EDM soundtrack from DJ J Von Dutch.

Bust out the booze and the sunblock from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday at Block 1949. See more here.

4. Surf's Up! @ HALO
Pin-ups and pets will get wet and wild when AZ Retro Rescue hosts its third annual throwback dog wash, complete with dolled up ladies sporting their '50s beachy best.

Friendly pups and their parents are welcome Saturday at HALO from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. See more here.

3. Improvised Book Club @ Torch Theatre
The crème de la crème of Phoenix's improv scene will take to the stage for Improvised Book Club, a performance that finds the good troupe riffing on a different book each month. On Saturday, they'll take on author Jeff Griggs' Guru: My Days with Del Close at Torch Theatre at 7 p.m. Admission is $7. Tickets and more information are available here.

2. Phoenix Designer Meet & Greet @ Optima Camelview Village
Local accessory and apparel designers hoping to show at October's Phoenix Fashion Week will have the opportunity to meet up with the event's organizers at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Optima Camelview. The event's organizers will be looking to fill slots in the categories of emerging and established designers, all of whom want to expand their brands.

Interested designers can RSVP to [email protected] and find more details here.

1. Sunflower Sunday @ Valley of the Sunflowers

Volunteers will dig deep and get dirty this Sunday at the Valley of the Sunflowers. Bring along some sunscreen, a hat, and some water for the day of planting from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Get more details here.
