Each week, Jackalope Ranch brings you a free event, workshop, or you-name-it happening in Phoenix. Because sometimes the best things in life really are free. This week's freebie: 11th Annual Spanish Market at the Heard Museum
Culture? Check. Shopping? Check. Mariachi bands? Oh you better believe it.
The 11th Annual Spanish Market at the Heard Museum is happening this weekend, Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m..
Attendance is free for Heard museum members or with purchase of museum of admission. If you only want to attend the marketplace, a suggested donation of $10 per person is suggested.
The Spanish Market will feature live music and folklorico dancing as well as the works of Hispanic artists from around the Southwest and Mexico. More than 90 confirmed artists will be selling a wide range of handmade works including silver, tinwork, santos, pottery, paintings, tile mosaics, and furniture.
For more information and a full list of participating artists, visit the Heard Museum online.
Keep Phoenix New Times Free... Since we started Phoenix New Times, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Phoenix, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Phoenix with no paywalls.
