Weird World

Late provocateur and high fashion designer Alexander McQueen described his aesthetic best: “What ‘normal’ people would perceive as ugly, I can usually see something of beauty in it.” That mindset resulted in some of the most daring, intricate, and breathtaking designs in recent history, and Jen Deveroux’s Alternative Fashion Society shares a similar outlook when it comes to clothes.

The group of Arizona-based fashion designers will make a unified debut during the Animal Royale fashion show at Crescent Ballroom. Wearing resin antlers or animal masks, models will walk out-there wear from 11 designers including Pierced Heart, Kelly Calabrese, Catrina La Dell, Hell on Heels Couture, and Sticker Club Girl.
