Maybe you don't own a grill. Maybe you do but it's a pain in the rear to drag it out. Maybe you're smart and just don't want to hang out in the sweltering heat. Whatever the case, if you're looking for something to do this weekend, a few of our Valley restaurants are cookin' up some sweet holiday deals.

Get a head start on your Fourth of July weekend at Renegade Canteen in Scottsdale. Saturday and Sunday grab a seat in the bar and score a half rack of ribs for $5, a whole rack for $10 corn or potato salad for $2.50 and draft Bud Light and Shiner Bock's are also $2.50 from 3 to 7 p.m.

The District American Kitchen at the downtown Phoenix Sheraton is also getting an early start. $3 microbrews and $5 cocktails all day long and at night the festivities include DJ's and live music Thursday, Friday and Saturday. And hey, if you end up having too much fun you can always get a room.

Stop by La Grande Orange Grocery for breakfast or brunch on the Fourth and grab a glass of their signature white sangria for just four cents. FOUR CENTS! For that price, we'll make a pit stop before we BBQ.

If you have always wanted to eat at Phoenix's Chelsea's Kitchen, the Fourth might be a good day to go. For the third year in a row, Chelsea's is celebrating Independence Day with $4 entrees. Buy one entree at regular price and get the second for $4. Pick from anything on the menu. We'd go for the fried chicken and pair it up with a prickly pear margarita.

And for those of you looking for something a little more special, maybe with fireworks, J&G Steakhouse at the Phoenician resort, will be serving their full menu plus a special three-course prix fixe menu and RWB cocktails. After dinner, enjoy three types of gourmet popcorn fresh from the kitchen while watching the fireworks displays from the surrounding cities.
