Phoenicians can now open their homes and offices to the King without even having to get up, get in the car and drive to get that greasy bag full of deep-fried foods for yourself. The Burger King Corporation has announced that the Burger King delivery service, BK Delivers, is now available at one location in Phoenix with more to come in next weeks and months.
And to that we say, "Onion rings for everyone!"

For now, there's just one live delivery restaurant in the Phoenix area at 4422 W. Glendale Avenue, which serves the Glendale, Alhambra Village and North Mountain Village communities. Those lucky ducks. And according to the BK Delivers website, a second delivery restaurant is coming soon to 1970 N. Baseline Road in Phoenix.
The Burger King press release says the delivery program plans to "expand during the next couple of weeks by adding two more restaurants in the Phoenix area to serve Phoenix proper, Camelback East Village, South Mountain Village, Laveen Village and Tempe (including Arizona State University)."
BK Delivers orders must be a minimum of $10 and orders usually take 40 to arrive, according to the website. "Specially designed" packages keep the hot stuff (aka your Whopper and large fries) hot, while ensuring the cold stuff (read, Pepsi) stay cold. Orders can be paid for with a credit card online or with cash to the driver. Delivery prices vary from location to location.
The service has also recently become available in Denver, where the company plans to add five new restaurants with delivery in the next few months.
