This weekend, we're trading in our pint glasses for stems of red and white. We'll be making a trip to Cave Creek for a couple of glasses of wine and a plate of grilled duck or we'll be hittin' the road for a not-to-be-missed wine festival in the pines and we'll also be whipping up a beautiful batch of sparkling wine cupcakes.

Eat This: Red Curry Grilled Duck Salad at Vino 100 's June Wine Dinner -- This Saturday, Cave Creek's Vino 100 will be celebrating grilling season with a wine dinner and cooking demo featuring five delicious courses of food made by rock 'n' roll chef Stuart Epstein.

Start with a grilled filet mignon with grilled guacamole and chipotle salsa, then savor the unique red curry grilled duck breast salad followed by a Asian marinated grilled salon filet and grilled strawberry shortcake. The first three courses will be paired with expertly selected wines. $55 per person. Dinner starts at 6:30 p.m. Call 480-502-8466 to save your seat.

Drink This: Arizona Wine Samples at the 3rd Annual Flagstaff Wine & Food Festival -- Need an excuse to escape the triple-digit temps this weekend? How about a trip to the pines for Flagstaff's 3rd Annual Wine and Food Festival, at the Pepsi Amphitheater? Saturday from 1 to 5 p.m., you can visit some of Flagstaff's best restaurants (and Scottsdale's Petite Maison) and join your favorite local and national winemakers for a cool afternoon of tasty eats and bold wines. Aside from eating and drinking, the all-ages event will also feature live music, and cooking demos from Petite Maison's Chef James Porter, Chef Lisa Dahl from Cucina Rustica, and Chef Frank Branham of Cottage Place. Tickets start at $30 per person and can be purchased here.

Bake This: Sparkling Wine Cupcakes -- We couldn't resist these stunning Sparkling Wine Cupcakes from Happy Sugar Fun Time. Moist, tender, and fluffy with just the right amount of zing from your favorite sparkling wine, these cakes are the perfect end to a fantastic wine weekend. Edible flowers optional!
