"Dry It, You'll Like It"
Dust off the Ronco and put it to work.Tomorrow night, learn everything you need to know about everybody's favorite subject, food dehydration, at the Desert Botanical Gardens. Chef Rachel Albert-Matesz will be going over everything from choosing a dehydrator that's perfect for you, to the preparation and storage of what you put in it. Chef Rachel will also be sharing some of her favorite recipes for making your own healthy sugar-free snacks plus sauces, appetizers and desserts. Crayfish Party
When we think about crayfish, the first things that come to mind are Sweden and flat-packed furniture with clean lines. Well, okay, not exactly, but this week we'll make an exception.This Friday at the Ikea in Tempe, enjoy an all-you-can-eat Crayfish Party. Tickets are only $10 per adult and $2.50 for the little ones. In addition to the piles of crayfish, there will also be specialty bread and cheeses from Sweden, meatballs, mashed potatoes and more. Drippy-Egg Cake
Who would ruin a perfectly good cake by putting a dozen drippy-eggs on it? Yuck. This cake was so horrifying that we just had to investigate. Thankfully, those drippy-eggs are actually apricots! Spiegeleierkuchen, which is German for Fried Egg Cake, looks gross but has the potential to taste pretty good. See for yourself here.
