This post has been updated.

Folks may be most familiar with Shine Coffee, the mobile coffee bar, from its retro-cool Airstream trailer. But as of yesterday, owners Laryn and Christiaan Blok have expanded to something more in the brick-and-mortar arena.

Shine Coffee on Vernon, their walk-up java shop (don't worry, the Blok's are keeping the trailer), is now open. Located in a tiny colonial-style structure at 10 West Vernon Avenue (across from the Heard Museum light rail stop on the north side of the street), Shine Coffee will be giving downtown denizens their caffeine fix using grounds from local favorites such as Press Coffee Roasters, Lux, and Cartel.

For the first week, Shine will be open from 7 a.m. until noon (closed on Sundays until January) with longer hours to be announced at a later date. Currently, the full coffee menu is available with pastries arriving in the next two weeks. And (bonus) for anyone trying Shine Coffee on Vernon this week: your coffee, any coffee, will be $3.50.
