Summer vacation: everybody's doing it.

Pastry chef Tammie Coe says her decision to close her Roosevelt Row location for several weeks just made sense, since so many of her employees were already taking time off.

This Friday (First Friday, that is) will be the day downtowners can get their Ooey Gooey Cupcake fix until the shop reopens on September 20.

"This sounds really boring, but we're just going to do some tidying up," Coe says. There won't be any significant changes, although she plans to expand her catering offerings and is considering adding more vegan options to the menu.
