Heads up, beer hounds: Arizona's newest brewery, Huss Brewing Co., is opening its doors at noon today.

Huss Brewing Co. comes courtesy of husband-and-wife team Jeff and Leah Huss, who spent over three years working to bring their dream of owning a brewery to life (Jeff is a graduate of the Siebel Institute of Brewing Technology and former head brewer for BJ's Brewery in Chandler and Leah's been the managing partner at Scottsdale's Papago Brewing Co. since 2001).

Huss Brewing Co. is located at 1520 West Mineral Road, in the defunct Rio Salado Brewing site (located off Priest Road between Guadalupe and Elliot) in south Tempe.

Although it will be a few weeks before hop heads can start knocking back the Husses' signature brews via mason jars, they'll be pouring several fan favorites (see the menu on the next page) on their 20-tap system until then.

Huss Brewing Co, along with making its own signature brews, will also produce and package beers for Papago Brewing in Scottsdale (think Orange Blossom Ale, Hopago IPA, and Elsie's and Coconut Joe's stouts).

The tasting room does not serve food, but food trucks will be on hand for eats.
