Meat lovers looking for the next new bone-in steak or juicy burger in the southeast Valley should point their respective canines in the direction of Chandler -- more specifically, Chop Chandler.
The new steakhouse and grill is planned to open at 2625 West Queen Creek Road (Dobson and Queen Creek) in downtown Ocotillo in mid-December.
Owned and operated by Tom Kaufman and Spike Lawrence (among others), many of the partners involved with Chop Chandler also own two other restaurants in the mixed-use development: The Sushi Room and The Living Room.
At the helm, and in charge of the new restaurant's seven-foot mesquite hardwood grill, is a chef with a steak-y stock.
The culinary direction of Chop Chandler goes to co-owner and chef Charles Osteen, who worked nineteen years for Houston's Restaurant, the Beverly Hills-based upscale American casual restaurant chain.
Along with the steaks and burgers, diners can expect salads, veggies, and desserts served up in a 4,000-square food space that will include a u-shaped bar, floor-to-ceiling walls of wines and spirits, and a private dining area.
