Forget Prince, when the city's original pioneer home and the oldest continuously occupied structure in the Phoenix metropolitan area wants to party, it's gonna do it like it's 1912.
And that means Monti's La Casa Vieja, the Arizona landmark in Tempe that serves American fare in a labyrinth of dining areas, is celebrating the state's centennial with prices to match the past -- like steak dinners for seventy-five cents.
The catch: The promotion starts in the morning which means many might be eating dinner for breakfast.

At 9:12 a.m., Tuesday, February 14 (Arizona's Centennial and Valentine's Day), the first 100 people at Monti's La Casa Vieja will be able to buy a sirloin steak dinner with a choice of two sides and Monti's Roman Bread for seventy-five cents plus tax -- just like the good ol' days of 1912.
"The Grand Canyon state is turning 100 and it's great to be part of the centennial celebration," says owner Michael Monti. "Here at Monti's La Casa Vieja we're all about tradition. Our building has been here since Arizona became a state and it's especially touching as one of the oldest structures in the valley to be able to give back to our long standing customers."
Monti's Centennial Steak Special will run until the first 100 people have been served. The rest of the menu and drinks will be available at the regular price.
