A round-up of tasty morsels from Valley food blogs.
We can't think of a better place to hide out from this heat than the cave-like interior of The Rokerij. LocalLily.com wrote a quick but serious post about how "the brunch Tenderloin and Dungenous Crab Benedict is to.die.for. I would trade almost any Saturday night dinner for this slow Sunday morning brunch." We will be getting our Sunday best on and heading right over to 16th St and Maryland for a freshly squeezed citrus cocktail and that surf 'n' turf benedict.
We liked Carlyn Mumm's post on DesertLivingToday.com about the "Tea and A" tea set. The cheeky set by Luis Caicedo includes a "sugar tits" sugar bowl, a "flat jugs" and "big jugs" beverage pitchers, a "milk maid" milk vessel and a "tiny a" and "big a" teacups. Ha! We're sure our mothers would love to come over for a cup of tea using this set - not quite the Ritz.
Foodiebear.com shared some lovely photos and a review of Bertha's Cafe. While the sandwiches were a hit, we want to head over there for the "food-gasm" and "chewy madness" of the Caramel Toffee Bar. Check out more pics and the full review.
Hey metro Phoenix eaters, if you have a food blog or know of one we've missed, leave word in the comments section.
