Today was a beautiful day for a latte, so I stopped by two-week-old Jobot Coffee Shop (918 N. 5th St.), which took over the old HoodRide space next to Made Boutique on Roosevelt Row. The coffee, a custom roast by local fave Cartel, was delicious, and the breeze blowing through the open windows felt like heaven. And then I ran into one of my dear friends, and couldn't think of a better start to the day. This is the latest creation from the folks behind Conspire, just down the block. After getting a remodel, Conspire's is now a smoothie shop and expanded hangout, while Jobot handles the coffee operation.

Soon, they'll seal the newly pavered front patio and fill it with umbrella tables.

Inside the other half of this vintage duplex there's gallery space and some more comfortable seating. Cannot wait to come back here! Jobot is open from 7 a.m. to midnight, daily.
