An open letter (not really) from the bottomless chicken fried steak offer happening this Wednesday, October 15, through Friday, October 26, at Texaz Grill, the neighborhood bar and restaurant, in east Phoenix.

Dear Endless Breaksticks and Salad from Olive Garden,

Shhh. Do you hear that? Yes, the laughing. The loud, obnoxious laughing. That's me Olive Garden: bottomless chicken fried steak. And I'm laughing at you. Yeah, that's right. YOU.

Think you've got the endless thing all figured out with your cheap bowls of iceberg lettuce and baskets of half-baked bread bars? Sure you have -- if you're feeding rabbits all day. Me? I'm what carnivores dream about: a never-ending plate parade of crispy breaded and fried steak smothered in thick Southern-style gravy. Add some football and a belt with extra holes in it and now you're talkin' a chicken-fried dream supreme.

And for $15 per person, my chicken-fried, keep-it-comin' freak-on doesn't stop until that carnivore calls, "Uncle!"

Why all the endless fuss? Easy. Texaz Grill is celebrating their 27th anniversary which just happens to fall around National Chicken Fried Steak Day (October 26). Coincidence? Hardly.

What's that Olive Garden? You don't have a day dedicated to your endless salad and breadsticks?

Well, ain't that a shame. Perhaps my endless flow of fake tears will make you fell better. If not, it's back to the maniacal laughing. AHH-HA-HA-HA-HA!

Sincerely, BCFS
