We've given you the brine for your turkey and a new root vegetable to incorporate into your typical Thanksgiving side dishes, but, after hours of cooking and cleaning and putting up with all of the unique character types that comprise any family gathering, you're likely to need a good glass of wine to wash it all down. The Skull Valley winery Tough Country is here for all of your drinking needs, while allowing you to still keep your meal local. At $20-$25 per bottle, you can spare to pick up a couple and share the love with the whole family.

Price: $22

Vendor: Tough Country Winery

Where to Pick It Up: Old Town Scottsdale Farmers Market, Open Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

What Else to Grab: Night Country Cabernet Sauvignon ($25)

The Arizona-aged wines from Tough Country feature as much local grapes as possible, with some out-of-state sourcing depending on the season. Crafted entirely by couple Dave and Linda Bonham with homage to his father, Western author Frank Bonham, you can really taste the family love in every sip--and you'll need some reminder of that this Thanksgiving if you're anything like us. The best part of stopping by the Tough Country stand at the farmers market is you can try before you buy. We prefer the sweeter and smoother Zinfandel over the other more bold and tart reds also offers, but taste for yourself and see which wine suits your palate.
