We've got a new restaurant to add to the growing list of dining destinations in the Southeast Valley city of Gilbert and that's Fusion Burritos, a recently opened spot that specializes in "burritos with a twist." Fusion Burritos' giant burritos, quesadillas, and salads come courtesy of Johnston and Wales graduate Chip Rooney.

The restaurant, located at 546 North Gilbert Road, has taken over the space formerly occupied by Rienda's Mexican Food. The restaurant offers a drive-thru and dog-friendly patio.

Fusion Burritos' menu includes unique creations such as The Gilbert burrito, which contains chicken salad with dried cranberries, toasted almonds, diced celery hearts, and "lite" mayonnaise.

All of the burritos are priced between $5.99 and $7.39 and sport city names including Philly, Le Paz, and Boise. Other tortilla-wrapped creations include The Seattle with battered white fish and "Seattle slaw" and The Parma with roasted pork or chicken, risotto, sauteed spinach, Italian cheese, and marinara sauce.

There are also salads, quesadillas, and a few sides that include French onion dip, tater tots, and New Orleans-style beignets.
