Whether it's a special occasion or simply another way to celebrate our love of good food and fine wine, Kai, Arizona's only AAA Five Diamond and Forbes Five Star Award-winning signature restaurant, is giving us three good reasons to splurge this summer.

Pairing its award-winning cultural cuisine with wines from various regions, Kai, in the Sheraton Wild Horse Pass Resort and Spa in Chandler, is offering three, unique, six-course dinner events, each starting with an hors d'oeuvres reception at 6:30 p.m. with dinner seating at 7 p.m.

"Each of these wines offers a wonderful balance between new-world, fruit-forward character and old-world charm," said Frank Gianotti, Kai Manager. "And for that reason each of the wineries became a natural fit for Kai where we focus on fusion of old-world soul with new-world preparation."

The first dinner event, Tuesday, June 28, will pair with the coastal Tuscany wines of Majestic Winery. Menu items include spicy pheasant confit and prime dry-aged bone-in New York strip with caramelized onion risotto.

On Tuesday, July 12, the menu will pair with the wines of the upper Mendoza Riverbank (in the Maipú region of Mendoza, Argentina) of Bodega Benegas Winery. Menu items include seared fennel dusted Baja lions paw scallop and mesquite grilled Nebraska Wagyu sirloin.

The final dinner, on Tuesday, July 26, will be a mystery winery and guest appearance.

Each of the summer wine dinners at Kai will be offered to a limited number of guests and range from $130- $150 per person.
