For fans of sweet treats by notable pastry chef Tammie Coe, Christmas has come a few days early.
Today, Coe announced the opening of her latest store, at 5210 North Central Avenue in Central Phoenix. The new Tammie Coe is adjacent to Federal Pizza, the latest restaurant from restaurateur Craig DeMarco, which opened in October.
Here's what sweets lovers can expect.
In an announcement on her Facebook page, Coe says her new shop is opening today, from 4 to 10 p.m., and that those hours will be in effect all weekend long.
She goes on to say the new shop will offer a selection of sweets, comfy couches, and cupfuls of Lux coffee.
Currently, Tammie Coe has two other locations: a bakery in Arcadia, open for catering and custom orders, and a downtown location, at 610 East Roosevelt Street, offering breakfast and lunch in addition to a full line of Tammie Coe Cakes and MJ Bread, artisan breads created by Coe's husband and master baker, MJ Coe. MJ Coe, incidentally, designed the bread and artisinal pizzas for Federal Pizza.
On February 5 of next year, Tammie Coe Cakes will open a space in Terminal 4 at Sky Harbor Airport.
