61: White Braise de Clams from Cave & Ive's Portico Grill
Been to Cave & Ive's yet? The new restaurant in Arcadia serving up dinners of tasty Italian and Mediterranean fare opened in May. And while the heat of summer has made Cave & Ive's second-story patio dining something we'll have to wait for when temperatures start to cool, we can have its delicious white braise de clams appetizer no matter what the weather.
One large, steaming bowl of edible bivalves, comin' up.
A little sweet and slightly chewy, the clams arrive in an aromatic and tasty broth of garlic, onions, fresh tomatoes, lemons, and herbs in a buttery white wine sauce.
Perfect with your favorite wine and a friend who understands the importance of asking for extra artisan bread to sop up what's left of this most delectable dish.
