The thought of brunch with a Southwestern spin makes me wish it were Sunday already.

This weekend, Roaring Fork gets its own weekly Sunday brunch rolling with a sprawling buffet by executive chef Bryan Hulihee.

Along with stick-to-your-ribs morning classics like sticky buns (pictured above -- I'm drooling!), waffles, eggs Benedict, and biscuits with sausage gravy, look for unique regional flavor in dishes such as green chile pork stew, candied jalapeno coleslaw, scalloped potatoes with roasted chiles, and green chile cheese grits with cheddar and bacon.

And yes, there will be dessert, from fruit tarts and pecan pie diamonds to bananas foster bread pudding.

Brunch, available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Sunday through Mother's Day, is $19 per person, with signature Bloody Marys and mimosas for $5 apiece. For more info, call 480-947-0795.
