Sure, the made-to-order 'za at this pizza joint between Dobson and Alma School roads ain't for the gourmet types. But for those looking for value-packed pizza with a decent, home made crust, a signature sauce, and tasty toppings served up fast and friendly like, this is your place.

And the slices aren't the only thing that have been super-sized.

Got a few pizza-lovin' friends on hand or just really, really hungry? Along with the standard 14-inch, 16-inch, and 18-inch pizzas, Big Boys features a 28-inch monster nearly the size of a kiddie pool.

The colossal pizza concept comes from husband-and-wife team Dennis and Vickie Heath, who opened their pizzeria in March 2012 but not before creating a pizza crust and sauce they both could agree on.

Thin and crispy, not too chewy, and nicely seasoned, the crust is better than many in the Valley. A good sauce, too, although I would have liked more of it on my slices. And standard toppings like mushrooms, roasted peppers, and jalapeños are fresh and flavorful.

Big Boys also offers apps like garlic knots (Dennis tells me they're a customer favorite) as well as salads, wings, calzones, subs, and ice cream. Need delivery? They do that as well. Friendliness? In spades.
