Real, Wild, and Woody Saturday, July 19
We have a good feeling about this first-time summer event. The fest, courtesy of the Arizona Craft Brewers Guild, will feature dozens of in-state craft brewers who are pulling out all the stops to present an impressive lineup of speciality brews -- think barrel-aged, smoked, and other unique creations. The event starts at 2 p.m. and runs until 6 p.m. at the Tempe Center for the Arts. Tickets, which cost $50 in advance and include 20 beer samples, are sold out. But keep an eye on the Arizona Craft Brewers Guild Facebook for chances to win a pair, as well as for news about last-minute ticket releases.
Saturday on the Rocks Saturday, July 19
This Saturday head to The Market by Jennifer's for a crash course in all things tequila. For the restaurant's second Saturday on the Rocks event the theme will be Tequila and Antojitos with chef Jennifer Russo Fitzgerald showcasing blanco, reposado, anejo, and super anejo Alto Tequila cocktails. The drinks will be paired a variety of antojitos including carne asada street tacos, carne adovada bites, salmon ceviche, and grilled napolitos with avocado crème served along with house made chips. The event starts at 4 p.m. and costs $20 a person for four cocktails.
Bacon Weekend 2014 Saturday, July 19 and Sunday, July 20
Ever tried locally-made bacon? Well, you'll have your chance this weekend at Perk Eatery. The restaurant will be showcasing locally-made Bring Home The Bacon (parent company is go lb. salt) with a daily special featuring bacon breakfast tacos. The special includes two soft tortillas filled with scrambled eggs, cheese, house made pico de gallo and artisan bacon plus breakfast potatoes. In addition, Bring Home The Bacon will be offering tastings of their premium pork on both Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The bacon will be for sale all weekend in half-pound packages.
Rusconi's American Kitchen Light Bite Night Sunday, July 20
All summer Rusconi's American Kitchen is offering a Light Bite Night special on Sunday through Thursday nights. The special includes a large meat and cheese platter with two glasses of wine and a shared dessert for $29. The deal is offered from 4 p.m. to close.
Weekend Brunch at Bottled Blonde Saturday, July 19 and Sunday, July 20
Bottled Blonde, the Scottsdale pizzeria and beer garden, is now serving weekend brunch on Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The menu includes entrees such as a Breakfast Calzone, Breakfast Burrito, and Brioche French Toast with marscapone whipped cream and fresh fruit. Other choices include a Smokey Breakfast Pizza topped with speck, mozzarella, arugula, and a poached egg. The restaurant also offers a Bloody Mary Bar from noon to 4 p.m.
