Number 79: Warm Maine Lobster Salad at Modern Steak


As if the name didn't give it away, Modern Steak is all about the red meat. Sure, it's served up in a chic atmosphere that doesn't remotely resemble a traditiional masculine steakhouse (quirky, retro-modern Palm Springs comes to mind), but the primal satisfaction is just as intense.

There's more to love than just steak, however. One of the most enticing things on the menu is actually a salad fit for a light lunch or a mouthwatering dinnertime appetizer.

Sweet kernels of corn, mushrooms, and tender fingerling potatoes showcase the natural sweetness of lobster meat, and a touch of white truffle oil brings it all together, adding a lusty, aromatic dimension. If only all salads could be this luscious.
