Hold on to your Vogue-approved Birkenstocks, Scottsdale. Intermix is coming.

The Gap, Inc.-owned retailer is known for its laidback luxe stock of designers including Chloe, Proenza Scouler, and Stella McCartney. Intermix's first Arizona location will open Monday, July 14, at Scottsdale Quarter.

Intermix will join the recently opened Suitsupply at the upscale outdoor shopping center, which will soon be home to an American Girl store, too.

To celebrate the opening of the 38th Intermix, the multi-brand store has teamed up with Elevenparis and typographical artist Pieter Ceizer to create a limited run of Arizona-themed sweatshirts. Weather be damned, they'll retail for $98 and, starting July 14, be available in the Scottsdale shop and at www.intermixonline.com.

The boutique's decor is also inspired by the desert with neutral tones and a mix of natural and elegant elements. Wood floors and leather tables are complimented by satin black and polished stainless steel fixtures and custom rugs.

The first 75 shoppers to make a purchase at the 1,500-square-foot store will receive an Intermix yoga mat and water bottle, as well as a free class at Go Figure Barre Studio. Though wearing a $98 sweatshirt in the summer seems like a sufficient workout.

For more information on the new Intermix location, visit www.intermixonline.com. Hours at the Scottsdale location will be noon to 6 p.m. Sunday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
