No More Deaths, a humanitarian aid group devoted to saving the lives of US-bound migrants, are holding a fundraiser and education event during First Friday.

The not-for-profit is teaming up with the Phoenix chapter of Food Not Bombs in showcasing art that can be purchased; in turn, all raised funds will go towards sustaining undocumented citizens with food and water as they attempt to cross over to the States, according to an official release.

(Event details after the jump ...)

The art can be viewed during an opening reception on Friday at Bragg's Pie Factory, 1301 Grand Avenue. A silent auction that includes live music and a vegan bake sale will take place on Friday, July 16. Go to www.nomoredeaths.org for more info.

If you want to donate an art piece, just show up at Bragg's Pie Factory around 6 p.m. tonight and ask for Laura.
