If you see the world in visuals and aren't afraid of interviewing, recording, cropping, color adjusting, and rendering, we have good news:

Voice Media Group and New Times are offering video internships that will include video production and visual storytelling.

Video interns will work with the editor, reporters, web editor, and art director to produce photographs as well as videos to accompany print features and online reporting. (S)he will be expected to produce two brief segments each week, as well as two long-term projects over the course of the semester.

Excellent communication and organizational skills, well-developed creative and production skills, and a comfort level in working independently and juggling several projects on tight deadlines is a must.

Some offices are equipped with cameras and accessories, but in general, equipment is not provided. Interns must have reliable transportation; VMG will reimburse for mileage and assignment expenses.

Candidates must be proficient in Apple Final Cut Pro X and Compressor, with some knowledge of Apple Motion as well as any editing software the intern may own.

To apply, send a résumé and clips to [email protected]. Please include "Video Intern" in the subject line.

Applicants who are not enrolled in school and who are unable to receive academic credit are ineligible.
