Which is why in its sixth year, the Grand Avenue Members' Association (GAMA) has decided to partner up with the Phoenix Annual Parade of the Arts (PAPA) (currently in its ninth year) for the fall return of the Grand Avenue Festival from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, November 8.

The joint celebration, which was announced in a June press release by PAPA organizer Sahar Mitchell and GAMA member Beatrice Moore, is the result of shared interest in enriching and applauding the downtown arts community.

Together the two groups will offer their signature festivities such as PAPA's mobile art parade and musical performances, plus the Grand Avenue Festival's historic building tour, art exhibitions, and fashion shows, as well as a few new activities for 2014 including a tour of the newly decorated planters along Grand Avenue.
