Support the independent voice of Phoenix and help keep the future of New Times free.
Artist: B Spiderman
The concept behind the piece is about the Phoenix heat and how it affects everything down to inanimate objects. Some people look at the heat as a bad thing, but in order to make this piece I had to use over 2000 degrees of heat so I benefited from it. Going off the old saying my friend told me "you don't know your good luck from your bad luck," the heat can be a blessing in disguise.
The countdown to Best of Phoenix continues! Last year, we profiled 100 Creatives who made a mark on the local arts scene. This year, we'll have 100 creative representations of Phoenix. No scope or requirement on medium or size -- we'll include photography, painting, sculpture, video, installation, literary, and more. What do you see when you Imagine PHX?
