Show us your ink! MARKED is our new series where we ask locals of all ages, professions and backgrounds to roll up their sleeves, pant legs, and so much more to reveal their marks. Here are their stories:

Name: Lucia de Vernai
Age: 24, done at 23

My Arm Piece: It's Nietzsche's formula for greatness: Love your fate.

I'm Polish (and naturalized, thank you officer), and I got it as a tribute tattoo to my mother who passed this wisdom down to me. It's on the inside of my left arm so it's always close to my heart.

When I first showed the tattoo to her she said, "That's very nice Baby Bear, but making your own dentist appointments would be a fine tribute too."

What's your next tattoo? A tribute to grandma. She wants grand kids, but tattoos are less messy.

Know of a few creative marks? Send us your photos/suggestions.
