First Friday, Final Friday, First Friday After First Friday -- turns out, we love art every Friday. And this Friday (which happens to be Third Friday) is no different. There's a ton of openings, receptions, celebrations and last chances to see some really great shows. We've picked seven that you'll definitely want to see ...
1. ...with the air, with the land, and with the water: Landscape Interventions by Dominic Miller @ Modified Arts
Dominic Miller's multimedia (sculpture, installation, drawing, photography) approach to the stories of the Navajo landscape and people after 30 years of uranium mining. Miller, a local artist, worked as a land surveyor and studied uranium mining before studying printmaking at ASU. The opening reception of his show at Modified Arts, 407 E. Roosevelt St., is from 6 to 9 p.m..

2. wilds. by Katie E. Lehman @ eye lounge
A photographic look at the "wild" world around us by Katie Lehman that runs through Nov. 13. The opening reception invitation promises live Djs, alcohol and a collection of photographs that you may "find yourself in." The celebration is from 6 to 10 p.m..
3. Firestage @ Firehouse
The underground variety show is back and celebrating its second anniversary of chaos. Performers and artists include: The Madera Strand, Lola, Anna Moncada, The Empty Frames Experiment, Airplane Cavalry, Julian Forest, Drufuss, Samson Says, Robots Destroyers From Planet Earth, The Unfiltered Sound, and The Brown Tones to name a few. No cover and BYOB. Note: there will definitely be mature content. The event starts at 8 p.m. at the Firehouse, 1014 N. 1st St..4. New Works by Colin Chillag @ Pravus Gallery
Colin Chillag's portraiture and painting process combine on canvas in his most recent show. New Times contributor, Kathleen Vanesian writes a full review of Chillag's show here, and includes a slideshow of his work. Chillag will be in attendance for the artist reception from 6 to 10 p.m. at Pravus Gallery, 501 E. Roosevelt St..
5. Benefit Show @ Conspire
Conspire is in full-time fundraising mode and it's kicking things off with a show/party. Musical guests include Lauren Farrrah, Mike Little, Dogbreath, and KC and Moonstar. There will also be artwork by a variety of local artists. Conspire, 901 N. 5th St., promises the usual drinks, food and local art-scene shenanigans (the last item's for free).6. La Calaca Cabaret and NW x SW glass by Preston Singletary @ The Heard Museum
The Heard Museum is a safe bet on any given Third Friday. The museum's NU (Native + You) program offers a free program every Third Friday; on deck for tonight are celebrations of performance and visual art. First up, local artists of La Calaca Cabaret -- including Zarco Guerrero, Stella Pope Duarte, and Michelle Ceballo (with others) -- will perform in music, dance, theater, storytelling and poetry in the Steele Auditorium at 7:30 p.m.. In the main museum space, NW x SW: Glass by Preston Singletary will feature Sinletary's fusion of Tinglit design and glass work. The museum's special exhibitions are open from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m.. The Heard Museum is at 2301 North Central Avenue.7. Me + 1 (and then some) @ Push Gallery
The collaborative art show, which features the work of more than 50 artists, opens tonight at Push Gallery at 1145 E. Roosevelt at 7 p.m.. Artists include Dumperfoo, Such Styles, Casebeer, Kyle Nash, Chris Burkheart and Kristen Ellerling, to name a few. The show will also showcase the work of live DJs Melotronix and Pac D.
