If you're not going to make it out to one of these sweet local art shows or to a romantic restaurant tonight, don't fret, there's plenty you can plan from work to look like you still care about your Valentine.
1. Map Your Love with Google Valentine
Google has officially made it far too easy. Plug in a cute note, a to and from email address, and the spot where you and yours met/totally fell for each other and BAM! a cute, customized, foolproof note.
2. A Time lapse Valentine by Jason Rudolph Pena
Now that your map is done, let your Valentine know you're on your lunch break, and still thinking about them. Jason Rudolph Pena blew us (and Conan O'Brien) away with his last time-lapse portrait he completed for Team Coco. Now, the local artist is back at the table with his pencil and camera -- this time with a Valentine. Send yours a link and look like you're plugged into the scene and you thought of something creative. How romantic.
3. Free Photobooth Action @ Smeeks
Now that work's over, pick up your Valentine on the way home and stop by Smeeks, where the photobooth is open and free for couples who stop by the store at 14 W. Central in the Medlock Plaza. Free and easy = double whammy. Click here for more details.
4. Free Valentine Short Films @ FilmBar
You're on your own for dinner, but for some post-grub entertainment, check out Indie Love, a series of romantic shorts from No Festival Required at FilmBar, 815 North 2nd Street in Phoenix, from 8 to 9 p.m. (though you can go earlier, the bar opens at 5 p.m.). More event details here.
