It's about time Phoenix sees some serious mural love. In the interest of giving credit to their artists and because we're losing track of the times we've said, "Woah, when did that go up?", we bring you Mural City, a series on the murals springing up around town -- their artists, their hosts and their inspirations.

If you're Downtown for tonight's Third Friday art walk, be sure to stop by the large map on the side of five15 gallery on Roosevelt Row to check out the latest work by Phoenix painter Sarah Hurwitz.
The map is an effort by Roosevelt Row, headed up by project manager Kenny Barrett to promote the local businesses and galleries.
It currently includes a directory of galleries, restaurants, gift shops, and more that visitors can check out on First Fridays, Third Fridays (and let's be real, we could all go there all the time).
The bar code-type graphic at the bottom center can be scanned with a smart phone and will automatically direct to a downloadable map or the Roosevelt Row website.
Barrett says the map's border will continue to rotate -- Hurwitz's dedication to our 26th president, Theodore "Teddy" Roosevelt (and the namesake for the street) followed Joerael Elliott's "Rainbow is the New Black."
