So you want to be a published writer, eh? Good news! The Superstition Review online magazine is now accepting submissions.

Here, in the offices of the Phoenix New Times, discussing the current state of a career in writing is one of our very favorite things to do.

Ok, maybe "favorite" is the wrong word. But we do talk about it. A lot.

If all the horror stories about the newspaper, magazine, and book industry don't scare you and you're still holding on to dreams of being a published writer, the Superstition Review may be a good place to start.

The online magazine was founded in 2007 by the B.A. program in Literature, Writing, and Film at the ASU Polytechnic campus and is part of a one semester crash-course in magazine editing. Students collect submissions, select the works, edit, and design the issue. Not to mention, they blog, market the product, and do all the details that come with putting a publication together.

Then they probably switch their major.

Juuuuust kidding.

Anyway, as I said, the magazine is now accepting submissions. They publish fiction, poetry, creative nonfiction, and visual art.
