Phoenix is a pretty great place to live if you like nerd music. Not only have we got The Minibosses, one of the most respected NES-rock bands in the biz, but we've got Mega Ran, AKA Random, who raps serious stuff over video game samples, including sounds from the Mega Man series, and Final Fantasy.

We last caught Mega Ran rocking Comicon, but he's taking his act on the road, touring with a trio of nerd-rap all-stars: Adam WarRock, mc chris, and MC Lars.

The tour kicks off on September 6 in Millville, Pennsylvania, and finds its way across most of the US over the course the over 40 dates, including a stop in Scottsdale on Friday, September 30 at Martini Ranch.

Mega Ran recently quit his job teaching to pursue music full-time.
