Up on the Sun contributor/club guru Benjamin Leatherman couldn't have said it better in regards to this week's announcements "Shit week for announcements."

There is hope, however, in this meager group. That hope rests on the strong comedy lineup for The Valley, including the likes of D.L. Hughley, Jim Gaffigan, Jim Breuer, Kevin Nealon and Harland Williams.

John Mayer leads the way for musicians. Unfortunately, Mayer has asked that little bastard Adam Young of Owl City fame to open for him, making for the second time in five months Young has played Phoenix/Tempe. '80s rock stalwarts Asia and Scorpions (what, Whitesnake was busy?) fill an interesting bill.

The week's best announcement has to be the Secret Garden Rendezvous Grown & Sexy Tour. Now, if the name doesn't have you chomping at the bit, then the lineup sure will: Bobby Brown, Christopher Williams & Al B. Sure. That's right, Al B. Sure, of "Nite & Day" fame, will be in Phoenix come May 14. Run, don't walk, to get your tickets.
