This week's issue features Tony Culture, a local artist who has his roots in Jamaica. As a fan of the Studio 1 and "lovers rock," he loves many styles of reggae. He's a do-it-all MC, DJ and Sound System master. His wife owns Afida's Hair Culture, which is where you can see Tony spinning reggae every First Friday.

Kurt Vile's music is anything but what his last name implies. Not to mention that he has a way of making the black humor of his songs seem hardly as miserable yet still ironic when paired up with somewhat lighter melodies. On the other hand, America's sweetheart Katy Perry won't stop singing about sex, yet she has earned herself the respect of a top artist and musical entrepreneur. She has certainly come a long way from her days as a Christian pop artist that was just another act on Vans Warped Tour.

Plus we've got show previews for Dredg, Woods, E-40, Tiger Army, and Buffalo Killers.
