Shows at the Yucca Tap Room are nearly always free, but rarely are they this eclectic. Tonight hip-hop, indie rock, world music, and blues are scheduled to be featured on the Tempe hotspot's stage.

Tonight sees the release of MOE'Z ART's The Beast. This hip-hop artist is Brooklyn-born, Paradise Valley-raised isn't short of witty observations and worldly beats, despite his 5'3" stature.

Also on the bill is DJ Treis spinning reggae, and Milo The Mayor, explained by a male fan as "a blend of hard rock and melodious, rough sex." Melodious rough sex? More like Radiohead with some classic breakdowns thrown in. And who could leave out the bluesy, punchy, locally loved rock of KONGOS? (Featured on yesterday's installment of the the Serene Dominic Show here at Up on the Sun.) It's a weird, mismatched show -- which is precisely why we think it's going to be a lot of fun. The music starts at 8 p.m.
