Yes, I understand the economy's down and we're all finding ways to trim the fat. So I'm going to give you some advance notice on this one. It costs just a pinch of money but if you hold back from going out to lunch a couple days this week, I bet you'll break even.

Now that MonOrchid is open once again, you can put that lunch money toward a good cause, this upcoming Saturday, at the MonOrchid Arts Fete.

The tickets are just a wee bit pricey...$40 for the Art Exhibition Preview and $20 for just the party. Either way, throwing down that much for a door price will surely make you feel like the fancy bastard you used to be, before the economy took a dump.

Anyway, the night promises art, a fashion show by Spoken Boutique, music by Radio Phoenix and Mr. Meeble and event photography by Ken Goben. Oh, and be sure to wear black or white attire.

p.s. - check out the lineup of artists for the show:

Mel Bergman, Brian Boner, Jeremy Briddell, Cyndi Coon, Susan di Staulo, Pete Deise, Greg Esser, Jon Haddock, Benjamin Hanley, Angela Johnson, Mayme Kratz, Carrie Marrill, Melissa Martinez, Matt Moore, Christina Ramirez, Mark Ryan, Gregory Sale, Joe Willie Smith, Karolina Sussland, Kade Twist and Steve Yazzie.

No denying that's one heck of a line-up.

You can get through the door with $40 from 6-7 p.m. to see the art preview and pre-sale, then only $20 from 7 p.m.-1 a.m. Either way, I'm willing to be the cost isn't going to break you. Plus, all the proceeds benefit MonOrchid, Roosevelt Row's (501c3) micro loan fund and a food bank (be sure to bring a can of food).

If that doesn't alleviate buyer's remorse, I don't know what will.

The MonOrchid Arts Fete takes place on Saturday, April 25th from 6 p.m.-1 a.m. RSVP to monorchidblacktie@gmail.com with your preferred ticket.
