Long time Valley radio personality Dave Pratt is returning to the FM dial.

On August 15, Pratt will be taking over the morning slot at X103.9.

Pratt has been a Valley FM staple for years -- his time at KUPD lasted twenty of them -- before he moved to KZON in 2002, and then KMLE from 2003 to 2008.

Since earlier this year, Pratt has hosted Dave Pratt Live online, but said over the air this morning that while he had "a blast on the internet," he and his crew (we profiled his co-host, Kassi Jade, back in January) are excited to be back on the FM dial.

Valley listeners know Pratt for his Sex Machine Band, but he also battled prostate cancer in 2005, and proceeds from his book, Behind the Mic, benefit the American Cancer Society.

Reaction to the news has NOT been positive based on the first 40-or-so comments on  X103.9's Facebook page, but Pratt certainly has a lot of fans around the Valley. Is Pratt a good fit for X103.9? Looks like only time will tell.
