In last week's Best of Phoenix issue of the New Times, the notorious Tempe dive bar Palo Verde Lounge was named the "Best Place to Get Up Close and Personal with the Band." A weekend gig by Antique Scream this past Saturday perfectly demonstrated why the "Shallow Dirty" deserved such an honor, as pierced princesses, gutter kids, roller girls, rock 'n' roll burnouts, and other creatures of the night stood mere inches away from the former Phoenix band (as well as all-girl trio The Venomous Pinks and the punk rock rejects of The Shboom Booms) as they performed.

It certainly was a wild night. Bands were pelted with PBR cans as they played, a few scuffles broke out, and we got an eyeful of plenty of skin. Pour through the pics we snapped over the course of the evening by perusing this week's Club Candids slideshow.
