When you put your key in the ignition and turn on the radio, what station would play right now? The Grateful Dead channel on Sirius. The classic country station is great, too.

What's the last song played on your portable music player? Widespread Panic, "Ain't Life Grand."

What's the first record you bought? Stevie Wonder, Songs in the Key of Life -- still one of the best albums ever.

What's your favorite concert you've ever been to? When I was living in France, I got to see a lot of great concerts in some really historic theaters, but the highlight was Buena Vista Social Club at the Congertgebouw in Amsterdam. Absolutely amazing.

Preferred format: CD, vinyl, cassette, 8-Track or digital? I love vinyl but often settle for CD. I'm embarassed to say that I'm still working on getting my music uploaded onto my computer.

What's your favorite album? Tough call -- The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars, by David Bowie, or Ready to Die, by Notorious B.I.G.

Who is your favorite singer or band? I can't be pigeonholed!

What was your favorite new or new-to-you album from 2010? The Black Keys are killing right now! Can't wait for their show in Mesa.

What one song would you play if you had a world-wide radio audience?
"Run to the Hills," by Iron Maiden -- such good energy to that song. It
just makes me want to go do something crazy when I hear it.

Who is your favorite local artist? The Black Moods.

What is your favorite local venue to see music? Rhythm Room.

What is your favorite music video? "Take on Me" by A-Ha. I think that is the greatest video ever.
