Phoenix will get its first railroad quiet zone at the end of this month. The zone, on the southern end of downtown along Harrison Street between Third and Fourth avenues, has to be re-certified each year, and has cost an estimated $100,000 in privately raised money so far...Crews rescued a hiker early this morning who had gotten stuck on Camelback Mountain. The hiker, Kevin Andrews, reportedly went to the peak to take photos, but lost his footing and fell to a ledge. He was not seriously injured...Tennis legend Andre Agassi won his first competitive match in more than three years in Surprise Friday night. Agassi defeated Michael Pernfors 6-2, 7-5 in the Cancer Treatment Centers of America event, which is part of the Outback Champions Series...

An inmate at the state prison in Phoenix who attempted suicide last month died after being taken off life support. Hernan Cuevas, 18, was serving a 2 1/2 year sentence for a Maricopa County burglary...The Race for the Cure in downtown Phoenix yesterday drew more than 30,000 participants. The event, which raises money for breast cancer research, brought in more than $2 million...The two victims who died at a Sedona sweat lodge last week have been identified: Kirby Brown, a 38-year-old New York woman, and James Shore, 34, of Milwaukee. Nineteen other people from the lodge were taken to the hospital and treated for a variety of injuries and symptoms.
