A Glendale man who was shot in front of his home last night has died from his injuries, the Glendale Police Department announced this afternoon.

The man's family has not yet been notified, so the Glendale PD hasn't released his identity but say they are treating the shooting as a homicide.

About 8 p.m. yesterday, 9-1-1 dispatchers received several calls reporting gunshots were fired near 53rd Avenue and Greenway Road.

As officers were arriving on the scene, dispatchers received another call from a woman saying her husband had been shot in front of their home.

Officers found the wounded man lying on the ground in front of his house. He was taken to a Valley trauma center with life threatening injuries, where he died last night.

Police have no suspects in the case.

Anyone with info about the shooting is asked to call the Glendale Police Department at 623-930-3000.
