Not only is the Slide Fire burning thousands of acres of beautiful Arizona land, it could certainly affect tourism in Flagstaff and Sedona for Memorial Day weekend.
The Sedona Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Bureau has released a statement saying both cities are "open for business."

The fire, at 7,500 acres, is burning between the two cities, near Slide Rock State Park.
"Sedona is open for business and we can assure you that the fire shouldn't have many impacts your stay," Chamber of Commerce CEO says in the statement.

According to the chamber, although some trails are closed, there are still more than 200 miles of trails open in the area.
If you do visit Sedona, remember that State Route 89A is closed, so you'd have to take I-17 and State Route 179.
