Arizona Treasurer Dean Martin, currently running in the GOP primary for governor, announced last week that he would hold a press conference tomorrow where he would make a "major announcement" regarding his campaign. Today, Martin announced the announcement again only now he says "immigration leaders" will be joining him at the podium.

There was some speculation last week that Martin's "major announcement" would be his withdrawal from the race, but he has since put an end to that rumor.

Frankly, we're not sure what Martin's announcement will be aside from the fact that it's apparently "major."

We called Martin's campaign manager, Renee Roebuck, to see if we could squeeze some info out of her, but she never got back to us.

Martin is trailing Governor Jan Brewer by about 27 points in the GOP primary (much thanks to her signing SB 1070 in April), according to the latest Rasmussen poll, so unless his announcement is that he has pictures of Brewer cross-dressing in a meth lab with a troop of underage hookers, we don't see much changing -- no matter how "major" the treasurer claims his deal to be.

Martin is set to make his announcement tomorrow morning at 9, so check back to Valley Fever for all the "major" details.
